Apparently, they used to get people (warriers, virgins, babies...) high on magic mushrooms and then tell them it was a good idea to give the gods their hearts as a present. Of course, they totally agreed and they used a sharp piece of obsidian stone to cut their hearts out on these rocks... nice.
