We were heading back to Puerto Varas today. We had booked front row seats on the 11:40am bus so we had luxury of a lazy morning at the hotel. The bus journey was comfortable and we had slightly better views because the sun had finally come out. We had planned to take a trip to Chiloé National Park and fortunately the weather had improved, it was still a bit overcast but at least it had stopped raining. We made our way across town to the rural bus station and managed to get the last seats on the 10am bus just as it was pulling out. Breakfast in Hotel Esmeralda is served on the 4th floor with huge windows giving a great view to sea and the church. The view was not so great this morning though because it was still raining.
