We spent the couple of days before Easter thoroughly enjoying the activities of our friends here; everything centered on family. We watched the making of sausage and enjoyed the tasty end result. We painted Easter eggs and had a contest to see who had the hardest egg. We moved from home to home, eating dessert and laughing with family. It's all about community here.
We were then blessed to celebrate Easter at the Tomy Church and I was so happy to see my dear old friend, Kazik Barczuk. I've know Kazik now for 20 years and he has a heart of gold. He preached a message of the hope we find in the Resurrection of Jesus and the worship was fantastic as always here.
Back to the house after services where we made the rounds to the grandmothers' homes for dessert with each. Then to the Wawrzyniaks for more dessert with family and friends. The folks here value family and community so much...it's so joyful.
Ready to head out on the great adventure tomorrow.
