Wassup my people...a fairly still Dave reporting from another internet cafe back in Cuzco. Frodo(*) and I have accomplished the unbelievable given our levels of fitness, and completed the Inca trail - four days of incredible views, great food and some hardcore hiking. Check out the photos - some good úns even if I do say so myself... Next stop, after a bit of a large one tonight with some of the guys from the trek, will be Puno - on the shores of Lake Titicaca...

Que tal...We're in Cuzco...after a wicked day in Lima spent on the beach and in bars and restaurants, we went to the airport at 11pm to sleep there for the night before our 04:00 check-in for a 6:00 flight. Which eventually took off at about half nine. Still, here now, and no altitude sickness yet - the views are pretty spectacular of the mountains and the main squares are littered with amazing buildings left over from colonial days...which we'll check out this a...

Tis the day before departure....my bag is unpacked and I have a temperature. Wicked. However, Farida will be arriving in a couple of hours, that brandmarked placebo, "Lemsip", will doubtless soon begin working its wonders, and in fewer than 24 hours we will be winging our way to Lima, from Madrid. Rock on. By Saturday of next week we will have commenced our trekking on the Inca trail to Machu Picchu. Will be in touch soon, xx

After a 3 hour journey from Copacabana to La Paz, Farida and I disembarked and got a taxi to the main square of Bolivia's wannabe capital, Plaza San Francisco.
