Saturday was goodbye Toronto and bonjour Quebec City. Having packed up and cleaned the night before we were ready for the off in good time. Thanks to the upgrade we'd negotiated with Via Rail we could wait for our train in the First Class Lounge at Union Station, Toronto.
Once settled on the train for the first leg of the journey, to Montreal, we had five hours to kill so shared out the blog updating and wrote or uploaded photos for the whole trip other than meal breaks. Working on the blog and photos was a strong reminder of the great experiences we'd had over the last week in and around Toronto. Lunch in the CN Tower and Niagara were the clear highlights but our two days around Georgia Bay were relaxing and appreciated.
Part of our revised travel plan had included a later start so we only had 90 minutes in Montreal - too little time to explore and the views immediately around the station could have been any city. Dave did manage to find a Sony shop and buy Jill a replacement camera USB cable as the original looked to have been left at Parry Sound.
More food on the Montreal - Quebec City leg. It was dark by the time we arrived in Quebec City and we were ready to crash so thankfully just a quick taxi to our hotel and sleep.
