75 Days to go!
After a week of talking to lots of hideous estate agents, my flat is finally on the market to rent for the year. The guy from Belvoir! said to me that I will probably have a choice of 2 or 3 people who want to rent my flat. Hopefully that will be the case.
We booked some more of our flights last weekend, so we've now got up to Japan sorted. We're next due to go back in a few weeks to book the flight to Perth. From then on we'll probably have to do the rest of our bookings by e-mail.
We both did a big shopping trip yesterday and bought lots of new things for travelling. I think I've got pretty much everything I need now, but no doubt will think of some more things as time gets closer.
We've been looking at the trips we're going to pre book and Shil's e-mailed a couple of companies in north India for tours. We were advised to get a trip around there because apparently Delhi is very busy and can be quite difficult to get around. We arrive into Delhi at 4:15am so we definitely want someone to help us out as soon as we get there. The tour is around the "Golden Triangle" and lasts for 6 days. Apart from going to places like the Taj Mahal and buildings called things like "The Palace of the Winds", we will get to go on elephants.
We're going to be booking the Inca trail today, hopefully for 15th April. That means I'll be in the middle of nowhere for my 30th birthday, but it'll certainly be memorable! It's a 4 day trek so the plan is to reach the Sun Gate at about 6am on 18th April to see the sun rise.
I'm looking into visas next week to make sure that we'll be able to get into the countries we want to go to. I think the Chinese one might be most difficult because the activation date is from when you get it and it's only valid for 3 months. I'll have to see if there's another way....
