Hello, well we are back in melbourne and it's easter!!!!!!! we got back on friday and didn't really do a lot that night as we were both tired. On the saturday we visited the victoria markets again to stock up on fruit and veg. We then had a major internet seesion as we hadn't been near a computer for over a week!! We picked up our tickets to go and see russell howard on the sunday evening. It's melbourne comedy festival so there are loads of shows on at the moment. we then went out for the evening! it started off as a few quiet drinks in one of the backpacker bars. It didn't finish like that!!

The next morning or should I say afternoon, 1pm to be exact we finally got up and and decicied to visit st kilda, which is a beach about 20mins by tram out of melbourne. Rachel was feeling fine I was not but it was good to get some fresh air. We walked around the beach for a couple of hours then went back to the hostel to get ready for the comedy show. The show was fantastic, I was nearly crying with laughter. We went to bed really early as we had a really busy day the next day.

Today was going to be a long day but worth it!! We set off at 8.15ish and met up with lots of other people to do a tour, visiting the puffing billy train, a working farm, a koala sanctuary and finally we were going to phillip island to see some penguins. The puffing billy is an old steam train, it was great going along the track and you could sit on the window ledges and hang your legs out of the train. Then we went to warrook farm where we saw some sheep dogs in action and we learnt how to crack a whip. They also had some two week old puppies and lots of calves and lambs. As well as some kangaroos!! After lunch we then went to a koala sanctuary and saw lots of koalas in the trees. we got some really good photos. You just want to give them a hug they look so cute. After that we drove to phillip isalnd and went to the penguin parade. Every night when the sunsets the penguins come out of the water and go back to their burrows near the beach. It was really busy and we were lucky to get a seat. Finally we saw some penguins coming out of the water, they were really small,lots of stupid people that were told to sit down and keep quiet while the penguins came out of the water started getting up and walking around,the rangers were getting really annoyed. Apart from that it was really good. We finally got back to melbourne at about midnight!! Tomorrow we go on a tour along the great ocean road.
