This cafe is 'famous' for the fact that an Australia prime minister once dropped in for a coffee on his way from Canberra to Sydney in 1941 (coffee cup and plate preserved in the front window). In commemoration, the cafe is virtually unchanged to this day. Obviously not a lot goes on in Gundagai!
