So a 2 and a half hour ferry ride was lessoned by the sight of James, being on the boat. And we made him detour and come with us to Bounty Island. So it was the three Amigos from the first boat spending the last free night at Bounty. He had a greta time on a cruise boat for 3 days!

Now this will shock most of you because I hated Bounty Island with a Passion. We got there at 4.30pm and the reason we came was to snorkel. It is renowned as one of the best places on the Mamanuca Island (the set down from the Yasawa) to see baby sharks. So the story goes we get there, and have an introduction until 5pm. We get told we can not snorkel in the morning because of low tide and the island is protecting its new coral formations! Fine, but we can snorkel now i ask? Yes that is fine. We are shown to our accomodation and then head straight back to get snorkels, now this is where it all went pair shaped.

The women behind the counter told us that the snorkeling rental closed at 5pm, it was literally 5 minutes past 5. so I asked nicely, since we would only be there a day leaving early the next morning, NO! was the answer. She also told us we could hire them in the morning, something we were expressly told not to do! Then she took that back as well. She wasn't just unhelpful, she was blatently rude to me. This wasn't the only rude staffing issue we had on this island, all the staff were dreadful, rude, unhelpful and occasionally they seemed arrogant, like we were not good enough to be there. The night followed and that was pretty crap as well, the bartender was rude, and ignored many a customer. They even tried to rip James off with his bill!

The only saving grace was that we met up with Charlotte and her friend and went for a trip to the otherside of the Island, where they filmed Celeb Love Island. Tom and I got some great pictures of the first seasons set! I think I only saw it once but walking around the abandoned buildings was a lot of fun.

To add insult to injury the food at this place for dinner was by far the worst I had had so far on the islands and the creme de la creme! Yes the room had BEDBUGS! I have the photo proof, which meant that the next place I had to wash everything I had with me, plus my bag!

I wouldnt recommend Bounty Island to anyone - by far my worst place in the Fijian Islands!
