Hi Y'all.

We arrived at 05.40 yesterday morning a bit tired and bewildered. The car started straight away which I take as an auspicious sign of the great trip ahead of us. We walked around the cliff top park beside Darwin city till sunrise, stripped out of our Melbourne clothes into shorts, skirts, Tee shirts and thongs and then had a light brekky. We then walked around the Darwin Botanics and saw the big Boab tree, a massive Blackbean that had collapsed and they had created a great playground around. Got to the camp unit earlier than regular checkin and were able to have abit of amidday nap to recharge. Just lazed about before finding out that it was Territory day. Every where in Darwin there were adds for Fireworks for sale. saw the best Fireworks display on Mindil Beach after sunset dinner on beach. But then, before and after and long in to the night people just letting off firewoks everywhere.

Slept well last night. Car is all organised for the camping now and we are stocking up on groceries today before we head off towards Litchfield NP tomorrow, (Friday).
