Left 3ways early and headed south to see the old telegraph station and the Pebbles at Tennant crrek, the Pebbles are a smaller version of the Devils marbles further south, there is also free camping in the erea.
Then over to the old telegraph station for a look. There was a series of these station along the track from Alice to Darwin in days gone by.Now empty but worth a look .
From there it was on the road north again back to 3 ways for coffee and a look at the memorial to John Flyn.
Next stop was another historical spot ,Attack creek. This was the most northerly point reached by John mcDougal Sturt on his 1860 expedition.
he reached this point on 25th June 1860 but was forced to turn back due to hostile natives and sickness,a long walk home.
Passed another Homestead catering to the travelling public,Banka Banka, has a van park and cafe.
Another fine day, although it did rain for a few minutes last night ,I heard at least 20 drops smash down onto the roof, although five of those could have debri from the trees as it was blowing quite hard
Stopped at the Renner springs roadhouse for coffee trhen on to Elliot, which although only small seemed to be spread about 1 klm olong the highway.
On the opposite side of the road was a lot of flowering shrubs very colourful
Reached Dunmarra roa d house around 4pm and settled in for the night
Late in the evening a tanker pulled in to resupply the roadhouse ,a semi pulling 4 tanks seemed half a klm long although that could a slight exageration.
