I am sorry I havn't updated this for a while but I've been so busy & got so much to tell you so I will try & keep it short & sweet.

After Chiang Mai I headed to North Thailand to Chiang Kong in a 5 Hour Bus Journey for the Border Crossing across the Mekong River into Laos. I met up with Rick & Rob on the Bus so they were good Travel Compions for the Border Crossing and 2 day Boat Trip.

The Boat Trip along the Mekong River was really cool and sailing along Limestone Cliffs the Scenery was awsome!! After the first day we stayed at Pak Beng & everyone on the Boat went to the same restaurant / bar. It was so funny, cos all the electricity went out at 10pm so the whole Island was pitch black but the owners (because of good business) lit candles & we continued & thats where I met loads of people, we sat eat, drank, played cards till the early hours. Finding my Hotel with Rick & Rob was a nightmare with no torch & drunk.

We all got on the Boat again the next day & the Banter on the Boat continued from the night before. We travelled all day & got to know everyone; Phil (London), Brad (Canadian), George (Leeds), Tyson & Ferrer (Candian), Fredrick (Holland) etc & we travelled together for at least a week after.

We all got off the Boat at Luang Prabang which was the next stop for a few days in Northern Laos. It took us about 45 mins to find somewhere for all of us all to stay but was a good larff & we dumped our stuff & hit the Night Markets for Food & Beer.

I met so many people from the Boat Trip as you are on there with the same people for 2 days.
