Hello Only got another two days left in Japan before jetting off to Bangkok. In Osaka for the last two days just wandering around. Been busy the week before that though trying to get the most of the 7 day rail pass. In that week been from Tokyo to Yokohama, Nikko, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Miyamira, Nara, Kobe and now Osaka. The bullet trains are quality - well fast and reliable!, made travelling easy. Was just in these places mainly for a day seeing what they had to offer. Yokohama is the second most populated city in Japan, it was okay there; not much too see; i think we went on the big wheel. Nikko was nice, a quiet and peaceful place, we saw the world heritage sight where all the temples and shrines are. Didnt really like Kyoto, it got off on the wrong foot with me, It is supposed to be traditional - that must mean the people at the station dont speak English and there are no English Maps, are the hostels are full and the station has a ding-dong chime playing constantly 24/7. Hiroshima was good, the place where the A-bomb was first dropped - saw lots of stuff to do with that there - other than that the place was full of kids - like most places - do they ever go to school?? Kobe was cool - only spent a couple of hours there - but is was pretty cool place - not many kids. Osaka is bog and not too many obvious attractions but lots of places to explore and the food here is quality. Darren
