After our long 11 hour flight we finally arrived at our first destination in bangkok, it was a little surreal thinking about the length of the trip we had ahead of us and that it had just started! As ty had arrived (accidently) about 5 hours before the rest of us he had thought ahead and already sorted out our accomodation for the night, it was a clean and just what we wanted just off of koh san road, for 150 baht each no one was complaining as this was extremely cheap compared to some of the other guest houses. Previous to this we had all booked ourselves onto a flight to Luang Prabang in Laos for the following day. On arrival in koh san road it didnt take long before the locals were offering us local produce, women came up in two's like del boy and rodney selling jewellery and all sorts, Josh being josh was the first to part with his money as did ryan. We ventured further down the road checking out what it had to offer, many of the locals trying to sell tailored suits, ping pong shows and massages...it was hard to say no. Taking in mind the phrase that was already being used alot "when in rome" we got taken to one of the sex shows about a 10 minute drive away from our guest house! The show was hilarious, as we walked through the door there were ping pong balls narrowly missing you, this went on to fanny drawings, chopsticks, blowing out the candles and many more with many thai girls offering themselves out, i can see why the dirty old men of maldon venture there! One part of the show which was most eventful was the dart shooting, me, ty and joel were pulled up on stage, had baloons between our legs, a bent over thai girl infront of us with a blow dart in her whispering eye....it made my baby makers shrivel! Commonly the girls take tips after popping each baloon, this was not the case with us and we ended up getting darts shot at us as we dashed off the stage....joel took a couple to the leg! After we flled our appetite at the sex show we went back to koh san road to try out the sam song buckets at a bar called silk bar, where josh yet again had his money out, but this time hustled off him from a little thai kid after a game of thumb war and we met up with a couple of girls, one that i had previously met a few nights before in maldon!
