Left Mildura this morning and headed to Broken Hill. A shorter trip in the car which was great for the kids. Arrived at Broken Hill to a balmy 26 degrees, and set up camp at The racecourse in Broken Hill. Spent the rest of the afternoon setting up camp and chatting with the other campers. The big trip begins....hooray. An early wake up for a 0600 departure. And then 6 hrs in the car with several "are we there yets!" A few stops for change in drivers, food and toilet and we arrived at Apex camp ground at around 1400 hrs. The kids overall were fantastic in the car.
