Nelson....beautiful Nelson. Oh what a find! We had seen a photo of this picturesque riverside town while visiting the 12 Apostles and decided that this was our next destination. Today we left Geelong after finding another leaf spring for the van and headed down the Great Ocean Road. It is an amazing piece of road that hugs the coastline and winds its way along amazing beaches and towns. We had no chance of staying anywhere popular as pretty much everything was fully booked and really $$$(even van sites were $45-$50pn!!!). Luckily an old guy at the van park in Geelong told us about this place in Princetown that lets you camp on the sport...

Yesterday we drove from Orbost to Woodside Beach past Lakes Entrance and all the fanstastic places to visit. Daz wanted to find somewhere on the beach so he could go fishing and from Sale we called around and found a caravan park at Woodside Beach that had availability. Update so far....On Boxing Day we packed up ready to hit the road again when we hit our first problem. We forgot to release and latch the door before winding the van down. Result???? The mechanism to wind the van up & down was now stuffed!!!!!! Luckily with the help of Ben and Ken (brother & cousin) and the use of my Uncle Ians' garage the boys re-engineered the wheel and by 3pm that arvo we were on the road again. Merry Christmas Everyone!!!! We are currently in Canton Beach which is near Gosford, north of Sydney NSW. Situated on Lake Tuggerah we are almost waterfront at our campsite which has been very quiet up until today. There are so many rabbits in the campground! Its like that wii game with the rabbits-around every corner is a rabbit or 2. It took Lilly 2 days to realise they were here and she's too lazy to chase them - which is good. The weather has been fantastic...
