Coroico is a small village situated in an area of Bolivia called the Yungas 3 hours north of La Paz. It is surrounded by mountains and sits at about 1,700m above sea level. We decided to head for the Jungle and booked a tour out of La Paz to the Madidi National Park. Rurrenbaque (the town which was the base for exploring Madidi) was about a 35 minute bus ride away or 18 hours (in good conditions) by bus- we opted for the plane!
