Hello Again,

We have a bit more time now so we'll fill you in on South India.

We flew into Chennai but didn't get to see much of the city as we made a beeline for a little fishing village called Mammallapuram.  We spent 5 very relaxing days there - the beach was a bit fishy but made a nice break from Rajasthan.

Next we visited an old French colonial town called Pondicherry, we stayed in a lovely Ashram with beautiful gardens and a sea view for 2 pound a night!!! We didn't practice much Yoga, we did go for some very pleasant walks though.

Next stop Varkala, we had to get our first sleeper train, it was 13hours so not too bad, I(Dani) was dreading it but quite enjoyed it actually.  Varkala was great, it's a beautiful clifftop resort very chilled, cosy restaurants, lots of Tibetan shops, we made friends with a guy called Babu who owned a really cool bar - with lovely cocktails, also got to be Superstar DJs for a night (the music system failed so they borrowed our ipod!!!) - we came up with a great playlist!!! Also made friends with a sweet couple who we'll prob meet up with in Nam.

Then we did a cruise of the Kerala backwaters which was great - apart from my sunburnt arms!! 

Now we're in Goa, it's quite cool but we preferred Varkala.  There are not many bars open here yet as the season hasn't properly started.

Mike's had a bit of Delhi belly - quite ill actually but he's on the mend now (on the beer again!!)
