The ferry arrived at silly o´clock in the morning so we drove just outside of Wellington and snook into the campsite we stayed at on the way down. We left Queenstown and started the 8 hour drive up the West Coast to Franz Josef, a nice drive but a sleepy one! We arrived in Queenstown at teatime and were very excited as this is where we've been told is the party place of New Zealand! We dropped Alex off in the city and after a few navigational difficulties we got back on Highway 1 southbound.
