Quick overnight stop about 50 metres from the highway. A small park for the girls kept them entertained. Not a bad spot to eat pizza and watch the road trains go by. Roadhouse owner got the leaf blower out about 4am to give us a nice early start the next day.

Had a nice river-side camp ground with lots of wildlife, ducks, pelicans, parrots. Literally backed on to the play ground and was adjacent to the camp kitchen. Girls hardly moved from the equipment whenever we were home. Enjoyed a bit of cooler weather and some rain, and felt refreshed to continue camping after a week's break in accommodation. 1 week of accommodation at the Silver Sands Resort in Mandurah. Just what we all needed for some rejuvenating from the camping experience. There were lots of facilities to keep us all happily busy. Took it easy for a week in Fremantle, catching up with friends, visiting favourite cafes, going to cinema etc. generally a non-camping type lifestyle. The girls reunited with two girlfriends Yasmin and Suraya who they'd met in Qatar, and also their caravan park friend Jocelyn from 80 Mile Beach and Coral Bay. Ticked The Pinnacles off the to do list, and relaxed for a couple of nights in Cervantes. There were 3 caravans with 7 girls camping next door, so we didn't need much entertaining for our 2.
