Hello all,
we finally said good bye to Australia after 6 mths, and headed off to New Zealand. Unfortunately we only lasted 1 week in KIWI because off the weather, it was really cold which was a big shock after leaving the OUTBACK were the average temp was always around 100 degrees, we are sad about only spending a week in New Zealand especially since it was probably are main destination before we left home, but we felt as if we were just waisting our time there unable to do or see much because off the cold weather.
We were hoping to go skiing in New Zealand but there had not been any snowfall which meant at this time of year there was not a lot to do, we will definately be coming back here sometime in the future because a lot of people say that this is the most beautiful country in the world, and from the small bit that we did manage to see it was pretty spectacular.
Our original plans before we left home were to head to fiji, then the States, then home after New Zealand, but we decided to give fiji and the states a miss, and have headed to South America instead. We arrived in Santiago, Chile last week to much the same weather as we left in New Zealand except that it is snowing here, which means skiing.
After a couple of days in Santigo we headed off up into the Andes to Chile's main ski resort for a couple of days. Whilst up in the mountains we enjoyed some great skiing and tried to pick up some of the lingo, this is the first place that we have been on our travels were they don't speak much English, so we are trying to learn Spanish whilst were here which will help us all over South America except for in Brazil were they speak Portugese.
in a couple of days were off through the Andes to Argentina,
hope everyone at home is well
