the one above is of Coffs Harbour when we stayed with Roll and Lesley, great couple.
Well I finally met up with an old Cookridge crew buddy from the White Lightening drinking in the park days and hanging in LA Bowl weekends!!!! He introduced me to Jagerbomb which is a cocktail combining one shot of Jagermeister (or sambuka as I had last night) dropped into a glass of Red Bull. I still woke up without a hangover, I don't know how I do it!!! Elaine gets so jealous of me but I really do think its my Well Women Vitamin tablets, they are a godsend!
Melbourne is definatley Australia's gay capital, I love it, men roller blading down the esplanade, and dancing wildly on the dance floors of bars/clubs its a great laugh.
St.Kilda is like a huge version of Chapel Allerton but with a street dedicated to cake shops...that might be why I have a food baby belly!!! Oh well its Christmas...
I went to Chapel Street last night which is full of fashionable shops, bars and restaurants, I love this place its so vibrant and very appealing to yuppies, good job I'm a backpacker, I could have spent some dollars there!!! I really like Melbourne and will definitely be coming back here to work and possibly live for a bit. By the way I have just realised I have been spelling 'definatley' definitley wrong...all my life!!! hahah
I had a lovely day on Thursday as I tasted many wines and even some Dom Perignon which was yummy. I have found a new favourite, Pinot Noir! I know how posh! We had a gourmet lunch which was divine (for a backpacker) then we merrily went to four diferent vineyards. Some half remembered facts: I don't if the tour guide said Australia or Yarra Valley exports 2 million litres a year but I do remember, even after tasting many, many wines that the UK is Australia's most profitable market, I think he said we spend something like $900 million, so about 450 million pounds, which is ridiculous...and I thought I was drinking alot!!! Anyway!
Somehow I have wangled free gym membership for a few days and then I will be leaving for superficial Sydney on Tuesday, where I will meet back up with Elaine and her lover boy Alex!!! We are staying in a hostel called Kings Cross which sounds different to say the least hahahha...its going to be a culture shock for us thats all I'll say, but don't worry its safe, we have male body guards hahaha (mum ignore the last few lines its a joke hahaha)
Well merry xmas peeps, hope you are all enjoying your xmas parties and shopping for pressies. Miss you lots XXXX
