OH MY GOD...OMG...OMG! HAHAHA Thailand is mental! Where do I start!

Well we arrived in Phuket airport Friday morning as it was cheaper quicker and we got our free 30 day visa to stay in Thailand, which was easier than going vis land and just getting a 15 day visa! We met our first freind Romin from France, who was also looking for cheap accomodation in Patong. Anyway after trailing around for an hour looking for a cheap dorm room in a hostel we finally found Seaview Guesthouse for backpackers, its really clean and four pounds a night. We couldn't check in until 12pm, so when we came back we found out that they lady had made an error in our booking so we were upgraded to delux room, with a bath, TV and DVD and kingsize bed and a single bed and a balcony! We were more than pleased. On the back of the door of the room there was a sign saying if bar girls are brought back its an extra 300 baht, which is 6 pounds. We decide bar girl was a nice name for a prostitute!

That evening we went out to one of the infamous Tiger Bars! What an experience! we walked in to find around 50 different bars with 'bar girls' dancing on the bars and offering drinks offers! And this is when we decided to play spot the ladyboy or maybe it would have been easier to play spot the lady! The amount of men, all ages, I might say, was ridiculous! We were ushered to this one bar and I was gropped by a ladyboy, at first I just thought, oh friendly woman, oh no she/he isn't...so that was fun! We decided to leave after our first drink as it was a bit too much for our little eyes and minds to take in! Plus they had better figures than us and were giving us a complex hahaha!

We went to a normal Aussie bar and met some American lads who were on vacation, they were mortified at the shannanigans, haha! We then went to a club called Hollywood , great music, but full of sicko's! The lads couldn't cope so they left and we danced with ladyboys until 6am...great work out.

Even going to the beach has been an eye opener, 70 year old women with huge boob jobs, men with buggie smugglers on (speedos), old old men with young thai women, loads of Scandinavians, and wait a minute...no ladyboys! Ladyboys in bikinis would be too much information, so I'm glad!

Anyway, ging to do some Thai Boxing this week, then go to Ko Phi Phi where the Beach was filmed, then over to the East Coast where Elaine is going to dive and I'm going to do Yoga and Snorkelling. This life is so hard ahhah...

The weather is perfect and is making up for the storms in Fiji. Thai people are lovely and very welcoming and don't hassel like the Balinese.
