I just wrote a really long detailed blog about our past few days in London but then some how lost it! :(
Asfter a rough start with the near loss of mitchs boarding pass due to mitchs lack of memorywe went into our 23 hour flight not knowing what to expect at the other end.
We were amazed by lodon as soon as we touched down - it was so green and lush
we are currently staying with Uncle Gav and his partner Shaun in a 3 storey terrace 30 minutes out of London. They have pet chipmunks and an amazing Ciunema Room! We have our own room with an ensuite - and they have been cooking for us and taking us to dinner nightly which has been so lovely!
So far we have visited
Trafalgar Sqaure ( we were met by drunken Liverpool Football Club fans, one dancing in the top level of the fountain in trafalgar square wearing a g string!)
The National Art Gallery - was amazing to actually see Monet, Renoir, Degas, Van Gogh and Pissaro in the flesh! This was just beyond believable and art books deinfiitely dont do these works any juscitce!
The Nationak Musem - this place is BEAUTIFUL and HUGE!
Hyde Park - Mitch and I spent a long time getting lost in here and having a wonderful day in the Gardens. we played witht he squirrels in the trees and went on a paddle boat in the Serpentine Lake - this park is wonderful and is very enlgish with gorgeous monuments and flowers.
