Hello everyone!
Thank you for all your comments :)
We've been on a two day trek that's why we haven't been keeping you updated.
We stayed in a little boat house owned by a Thai family which was brilliant! We went on a bamboo raft down the river and Danny burnt his neck, and then to a waterfall where loads of Thai kids go at the weekend and play around in.
The elephants were absolutely amazing (Karen- you'll definitely have to come and see them one day, they're beautiful) We got to give them their morning bath.. some of them were really naughty and kept going under the water and twisting around so we'd fall off their backs! They were spraying us all as well.. it was such good fun. We had to watch out for the massive floating poos though as one girl swallowed some! uuuugh!
We're still in Bankok at the moment but planning on going to a quiter island tomorrow as Bankok is very hectic and a bit manky (Jane- you would hate it, cockroaches galore!). We've been eating at the local market stalls which sell Thai food, it's lovely but very spicy! (Clare- it reminds us of you feeding everyone! We call it 'Clare's Kitchen') You can buy a whole tray of food for 20bht, which is about 3p! It is so cheap here, we have been here four days now and I've only spent 100gpb, which includes accomodation, food, trips, and I've bought some clothes and had a couple of massages (Rachee- you would love them! Better than Shannon walking on your back!).
We're going to an Island called 'Ko Samet' tomorrow which is only 4km long and 1km wide. You can rent quad bikes to ride around the island on which Danny and Mark are looking forward too... I'm not so sure! We're hoping to do some diving, jet skiing and the guys want to do some fishing while we're there. I'll keep you updated with pictures:)
Have fun looking through our new piccies :)
Em and Danny xx
