Went on a day trip round siem reap today started at the land mine museum. Founded by a man who was forced to kill his own people by the kumer rouge during the civil war in Cambodia was given his first gun at 10 years old and planted mines all over Cambodia. As he got older he managed to leave the kumer rouge and went out on his own and collected loads of mines and deactivated them himself he then set up the museum to show people what damage they caused an he also saves children who where either orphaned or injured badly from mines. Such an amazing man and an amazing place I would love to do volunteer work at but unfortunately they don't allow westerners :(( I have a donation which I hope would help towards something. If I had known more about it I would of taken pens pencils toys etc for the children. Was a massive eye opener for me and respect this country so much more so then what I already did.
We then went to a mixture Angkor wat it was like a secret garden so beautiful. The architecture is incredible I can't wait to see the real thing over the next 3 days :) we finished off by going to the old market bit of shopping or a new bag and local food. Love the place so much could really see myself living in Cambodia one day really could.
