i'm not currently in rottnest but i'll tell you quick about my day there (internet is really expensive here). it was tuesday. was supposed to get up early for the ferry but i slept in. well, i didn't hear the puny alarm on my pepsi point timex watch. with only 40 minutes until the ferry i raced to get down to the pier..made it just in time too thanks to the free busses that run every 10 minutes. anyways boarded the ferry and off to fremantle we went. did a quick change over to another ferry for rottnest and my first glimpse of the indian ocean.landed on the island where i had a free bike rental waiting. only problem was i got lost trying to find the damn place. who gets lost on a tiny island? apparently me. got my bike (and helmet-mandatory--i felt like an idiot) and off i went. very very nice scenery. burned my nose, took lots of pics(which i'll upload later-these pc's don't have usb ports) and got lost (again). found a nice bay-took my shoes off, walked in the sand, fought with a seagull over my pathetic lunch and returned the bike. took the ferry back early (sat outside this time around & went deaf), got some fod and went to bed! hows that for a super compact update? only cost $3.70 to write!
