After the music exam we went to the supermarket and got some paint for the Spain soccer game. We painted ESPANA, I was the E, and some of the girls painted OLE. That was a lot of fun, very nostalgic of the nipple squad days. Then we went to the square to watch the game, which was at 4 so it was ridiculously hot w/ everyone crammed together and cheering. After Spain won I hopped in the fountains w/ all the Spaniards, which felt amazing, unfortunately this game...

Today we went to the Centro del Reina Sophia, which was actually cool b/c we saw Picasso's famous Guernica and a lot of Dali's weird surrealist works. Afterwards we went to a Flamenco demonstration which was fun, the chick danced all enthusiastically w/ funny facial expressions and loud stomping of her feet. Then we headed back to the hotel and watched the US lose at our hotel lobby. After that it was time to cram for our music exam the next day.

Today we went to Toledo, the old Spanish capital city. It was very different from these cities, very old and castle-like. Check out the pics, if I can get them uploaded. We were there pretty much the whole day. Now it's time to put in some studying for our exam on Fri. After that it's partying in the streets w/ the Spanish during their soccer game, I can't wait.

We went to the Prado Museum today, saw Velazquez's Las Meninas, but unfortunately Picasso's Guernica wasn't there. Afterwards a group of us went to the Parc de Retiro nearby and saw the Crystal Palace and took some fun pictures on this big Monument de Alfonso. Then we went to the bullfighting arena, and unfortunately bullfights are only on Sundays, so we wont be able to see them. I bought 2 t-shirts for soccer, one England and one Spain, so I wore the England ...

We traveled today, stopping in Zaragoza for lunch and to see another church and castle. We arrived in Madrid around 6:30, our hotel is perfectly located in the center of the city, finally we get a good location. After our welcome dinner, some of us went to the Colon Plaza, which had 2 big screen tv's and thousands of crazy Spanish people. Good thing Spain won, b/c it was so much fun seeing them going crazy in the streets and fountains. I can't wait for their ...
