It's the best time...the initial flight to an overseas holiday has begun and there is the prospect of 4 weeks of bliss and relaxation. My travel plans are set and Thailand is the first stop with Maria. Day 1 is over after a shopping expedition to Siam shopping centre and time spent by the pool. It is supper windy and Maria and I are just relaxing/trying not to get blown off the rooftop bar of our hotel. Tomorrow will bring about a trip to the breakfast buffet...

Day 2, in Bangkok and it is really lovely...The best thing about being here is that you wake up really early and head down to breakfast then you shop and laze by the pool (it doesn't get much better than that) Chris and Casey, I went to MBK yesterday and yes it is massive! its a good thing im not shopping because you could spend days in there...only coming out for air hehe. Today we went on a day trip to Phi Phi island and some other surrounding islands... It was soooo beautiful. The water was is crystal clear, blue and the sand, soft and white... This is such a unique and beautiful place. Halfway through the trip we stopped at Monkey Island which was interesting, as it was just that an island FULL of tiny monkeys!!!

The FLIGHT over Being my first intercontinental flight i was a little worried if i go the distance hehe...however might i say that i really enjoyed it...first of all there was hardly anyone on the airplane (very quiet). Secondly there were storms off in the distance which meant amazing lightning displays in the pitch black of night... this was totally cool... The food they served was delicious and we had many lovely glasses of scotch to get us through a loooong...
