Pokhara is, so far, my favourite place so far. Small, accessable, views of a lake, the Himilayas and rolling hills. It is full of nice resteraunts, nice people, nice hikes, and nice shops.
Nepalese people are much warmer and nicer than the Indians. friendly and welcoming. We did a little paragliding, which was very serene; a little hiking, which started very serene untill we got lost and started having visions of being lost in the hills forever and ever; a little boating, wich was very relaxing; a japanese hot bath, which sounds relaxing but at 38degrees was closer to cooking; and had a massage from a blind man (don't worry, it was a reputable institution), also very relaxing. So needless to explain further, that we relaxed. And we needed it, after the craziness of India.
We spent just 5 days in the resort-like town of Pokhara, relaxing and shaking off the effects of 6weeks in India, before boarding a much less overcrowded bus than on the way there, to Kathmandu, the capital.
