Hello again!! The cab ride from Seatac to our hotel in Georgetown was pretty full on...maniac driver in a mood!! Tiny tip for you dude. Our hotel we are in for 4 nights is great. We are in a upmarket eclectic are that is semi industrial but with pubs bars and lots of arty places thrown in. 2 bus rides and we are downtown within 20 minutes for only $2.50 ea...
So first day Saturday we go straight to Chihuly garden and glass. This places is so beautiful. An artist named Dale Chiuhuly started in the 60's doing extraordinary glass sculptures. His works are presented both indoors and out in a garden area and it all just flows. I could have taken a hundred pics there easily. Please seethe pictures and when you know all the pieces from blown glass you will be amazed too. Google it and you will go wow too.
We purchased the Seattle pass which gave us entry in 5 major attractions and is great value.
Next stop EMP museum. This is not a museum per norm by any means... The outside is muti colored and wildly undulating.. inspired by the shape of a inner ear. It explores some of the most significant moments in rock music, science fiction and pop culture through some incredible exhibits which are mostly interactive. Loads of original movie props and history of music and movies. Pretty cool.
And off we go to the space needle...built in 1962 and still going strong it is true it has the best views over Seattle, Puget Sound...waterways. And all the snow capped mountains. With clear blue weather we see it all. History of this icon is full on and is wiay to much to detail here so again googled it. We finished off with a quick ride on the monorail. Not bad hey all in one day!!!!
Well Sunday we have a very full day on a tour bus doing all of Seattle including Pike Place Market and an afternoon tour at the Boeing factory...early start. So goodnight all :-!
