Well the Northwest Trek is a wildlife park. You know animals like elk bears cougars ducks etc... Yep well some one forgot to tell them we are visiting and most of them where still sleeping!!! Well it is still chilly and only the start of spring after all. Was. Still great to explore and we went around twice on the walk hoping that t he sleeping bears be awake on the second pass and yes they were. So after a pretty crappy sleep due to all the road noise from the street below our room which was located right next door to the Portland convention center we left the car and luggage at the hotel and jump onto a street car ...or as we know them trams! Was good easy system to use and understand and an easy way to see around the outer downtown areas. For a whole $4.50 ea we went on the sky tram. This got us a great view of Portland downtown city and also the ship ...

So Monday we left Burney Falls for an amazing drive through to Mount Shasta. Here we stop at Black bear diner. Excellent coffee and bear claw pastries ...mmm yum. We get told to drive along the side road as far as you can to see the most snow and great pictures of the mount. Well it was white so bright sun glasses never came off. Even now with start of spring it still take 3 days to hike to the top and you have to be experienced snow hiker. It's 7000 ft high !! ...

Well what a start. Yesterday we drove from Vallego to further into Napa Valley. We stopped at a beautiful winery and did some tastings with cheeses. Amazing place was a replica of French chateau and then a bit of a drive around a few others. We next stopped for a coffee..wow we thought we had bought more wine with the price of the coffee!!! $17 for 2 lattes n two little donuts..whattt .
