Curacao is the first of several Dutch Caribbean islands we will be visiting. Very pleasant, quiet. Plenty of beaches. Noted for its pastel coloured buildings apparently originating with a former governor who blamed his migraines on the bright white buildings in Willemstadt and issued a decree that all structures be painted any colour other than white. Also known for its local liqueur - Curacao. Interesting taste. Plenty of shops, mainly clothes, souvenirs ...

Quiet day strolling in Key West. Lots of interesting shops but we were a bit too early to see many of the "characters" who call Key West home. Weather is mild and not too humid. Next 3 days are at sea so we can just relax.

Quite the journey to get here. Comox to Calgary went well. In Calgary discovered that the flight to Toronto was delayed due to de-icing overloads at the airport. That meant we would miss our connection to Fort Lauderdale. Westject rebooked that connection to the next morning, meaning we would stay overnight in Toronto (at our cost - they don't cover weather delays.) We agreed since we had allowed an extra day to cover just this eventuality. We got to the g...
