Kingstown is an interesting town that is the centre for the Grenadines. Friday was market day in Kingstown and every street and lot was packed with stalls and stands selling everything from fruit and vegetable to clothes and hardware. A number of larger stores were also packed with locals, tourists in the minority. Town is located in a very scenic setting with some large homes on the cliffs above the bay. Scarborough is a smaller place that welcomes tourism but does not appear to focus on it. Lots of small shops and stalls. Nice people. Didn't appear to have any major hotels or resorts, but if one likes "off-the-beaten-path" tourism, you might find it here. Small basic botanic park which is a good walk and close to the pier.

Port of Spain, Trinidad is not primarily a tourist town. It is the seat of government and a port and business centre. Some effort is being made to modernize the city and renovate historical buildings. There were a few tours outside of town but nothing that attracted us so we stayed in town.

Aruba is the largest of the Dutch Caribbean islands. Like the others, main industry is tourism. Lots of shops, heavy on luxury products and jewellery in Oranjestad. Wondered around downtown and took the complementary trolley.

Like most Caribbean islands, main attraction of Bonaire is beaches and snorkelling. Nice little town, mainly shops and bars. Neat little brew pub. Other than water activities, Bonaire has a salt industry (salt pans) and a flamingo reserve. We just hung around the town.
