Hi everyone, today was a bit of an unexciting day. Drove for about 500 kilometers but the highlight was finding a camping spot for $5 a night. There is nothing here but a dried up river and a few shops. People keep coming up and saying nice camper. Pretty cool hey. In for another quiet night sitting here and tonight it's actually not cold. Thank god we might be out of bed past 7.00pm. Wendy

Drove up the Kidman Way from Cobar to Bourke, lots of very large farms and not much else. Stopped in Bourke for lunch beside the Darling River. From Bourke we headed for the Queensland border and hopefully warmth. Found a pub just short of the border that we could not pass without sampling their wares. Now sitting in Cunnamulla as the sun goes down and my fingers are freezing up trying to type this. Wendy

Didn't quite make it to Cobar, the animals were starting to come out to the road as the sun went down. Had to dodge a couple of roos and a goat and lots of road kill. Spent the night at a roadside stop and woke up to a beautiful crispy frost Wendy

Not much to write about Silverton, one donkey town in the middle of nowhere, didn't take a picture of the donkey. Highlight nice pub. Too early for a beer. Today heading off towards Cobar.

Hi everyone. Well we left on the 4th July, we couldn't figure out if we were stressed or excited. First night was in Ballarat. We spent the night with my sister and her family, it was absolutely freezing so we chickened out and slept inside the house. Had a terrific night catching up.
