Today is the 14th July and we have actually hit the coast of Cairns. We couldn't get into Palm Cove or Port Douglas, it's too crowded. So we are staying at the most superb spot right on the beach. We think we will stay here until everyone arrives. It's beautiful not upmarket like Port Douglas. We are parked on the beach it's amazing. What a view!! Wendy

After another 350 kilometers we headed for the Undara Volcanic National Park. The camping ground was beautiful all set out in bush. After no shower for two nights it was the best stay so far. They had a lovely restaurant so we even lashed out for dinner. During the afternoon we booked a tour to the Lava tubes. It's what is left after lava flows down a river bed and forms caves. Hi gang, very excited Saturday after visiting Brenton, Carla and Zane in Pakenham we finally got away about 3 made it to Tocumwal about 6 in the rain! Donned the coats (we were never going to need) quickly set up our camp and cooked tea all very quickly, but the rain did go away long enough to set up our chairs and eat the best steak sandwich. Hello everyone We made it to Longreach by 10.30am so it gave us plenty of time to play happy tourists. We went to the stockmans hall of fame but missed the show. We went through the museum which was interesting. On the way here we saw drovers moving about 2000 cattle, which was really interesting to watch.
