Well it's day two and after a huge sleep we are ready for today's adventure.
We came down for breakfast and were confronted by the biggest selection of food from all over the world, but the strangest thing was beef bacon.?!? We then headed out on the handy hop on hop off bus to see the sights. first stop KLCC, lovely green space with water fountains surrounded by huge modern buildings i.e. Petronas towers, with a shopping centre at one end, lots of familiar shops, including M&S, they get everywhere, also a Harrods but mostly high end designer shops. We then moved onto Chinatown, wow! what a place! bargains galore but you had to haggle, fortunately Eric is very good at that - i just get embarrassed! Eric wants to open an overseas office for LNAACT so if Peter reads this can we? Eric thinks it would be sure to make money. Our trip round the city was cut short as we left the old Central market as we emerged to torrential rain, complete with thunder and lightening. We took shelter (of sorts!) then decided to make a run for it - big mistake!! We arrived back at the hotel wringing wet, having had a great day. This evening we are going out for cocktails and some local Malay cuisine.
