Hey everyone, so we are now in Auckland Northof the North Island. It is Saturaday and ourlast day as we are flying out to Fiji tomorrow! yehhhhhhhh! some sun! Really really sorry we haven't been writing we have been really busy as we only had 2 weeks to do the whole of NZ! So since we last wrote, weleft Queenstown, where Craig had his 3rd docs visit and waited litterally hours there! He had an Xray and blood test and was charged an awful lot! I didn't mind though it was warm and has a tv i watched home and away! easily pleased! I even saw the surf shack tina! From here we left and drove all day to Fox Glacier and Franz Josef Glaciers. The drive there was amaing driving through Snowy Southern Alps through snow blizzard fields with shivering sheepys! Then all of a sudden we drove out into the gorgeous Autuwn like countryside with greens fields and brown leaved trees. See the van on its journey in pics. We braved the Glaciers the next dayalthough it was the coldest day ever! We put our hiking boots on the first and probably the last time ever! See the pics of the glaciers. beautiful. It was then about four in the afternnon and we didn't have much else to do so we drove about for a bit and ended driving off road for an hour down this track. Getting slightly miffed, any we ended up at the best beach i have ever seen. It was a pebble beach with all these washed up trees and the sun was etting and the sky was really pink. When you turned around the whole of the mountain range was tere. It was gorgeous and we were all on our own so it was so nice and peacefull. See the pics. From here we drove all day again to Picton where we had to load Mr Bean onto the ferry.
We then spent two days in Wellington. Not very exciting really.
From here we went to Lake Taupo which is gorgeous and did some touristy things like seeing some waterfalls ands this thermal hole thingy! . . . yeh. We stayed in this really nice hostel there where we were literally on our own so nice and quiet. We went up to the tv room and were freeked out by this guy who kept questioning us on what our thoughts were on Tony Blair and George Bush and why we didn't vote!? I was getting right pissed off! Turned out he was from Twerton!
So we came to Auckland. Craig had to have his FNA test here and we dropped the trusted camper off after only actually sleeping in it for 1 night! lame! It cold!!!!! So the news is not good. After all these docs visits Craig is gonna have to have an opperation when we get home to have this lump out. Good job we cut our trip short or else he'd be having it done in the Cook Islands probably with a dirty knife! He has also been told he has contaminated blood! Ive wrapped him up in bubblewrap!
Auckland is a bit mental, thugs shouting the odds! Bring on Fiji!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
