Oh my god I can't believe itI've never been this far away from home
-- 'Oh My God' by The Kaiser Chiefs
Well, that's how I started my first go at a blog post from Johannesburg, but I should have said: Oh my god I can't believe it, the power's gone out again and I've lost everything I've written. As a result, my J'burg summary is 2 days late and will only be brief?
If I was employed by the Johannesburg City Council to come up with an advertising campaign for this city (ala Absolutely Fabulously Wellington), the best I could do (truthfully) is: Johannesburg: A Great Place to Leave.
Our backpackers was on the rustic side, and kind of nowhere.Didn't feel too unsafe though. And yeah, the power was a bit unreliable.
Anyway, the only reason we were there was to start our 29 day tour ending in Nairobi (which I will post on in Livingstone, I presume, which is about 4 days away)? but let's just say I've taken 300+ photos in the last 2 days? It's happy hour at the bushman's bar, so you'll have to wait to see the elephants, hippos, baboons, lions, giraffes, crocs, buffalo, wildebeest, impala, secretary bird, ostrich and others till next time.

Kenzo / no one in either group wants to work togtheer. we are doing our own high quality releases because in our opinion, using the public raws available isn't good enough.
