Hi Everyone! Well when we first got Vietnam we were not that imprest, it is a big difference from Thailand, that we knew, but you cant really justify a place from the pictures and text you read in a book. The City was a bit of a shock from Thailand as well thyere people fall over thereselves to help you but here we feel in the way, and not really wanted. After we had stood as long as we could in the city, we booked ourselves onto a Ha Long Bay trip for 2 days. It was incredible far better that the whitsundays, in Australia. We went for a cruise on our boat, which was fully made on wood, and had sails, which they use in summer, but as it is winter at the moment, we had to make do with the diesel engine, but it was still magnificent, there was 12 of us on the boat, a couple from Switzerland, me and amy, a couple from England Alex and John who we made friends with a family from France, so we stayed away from them. We had lovely seafood meals which Amy wasen't impressed with, and went for a trip to these caves that we had to leave the boat to get to, I tell you what makes Creswell Crags look like a crack in the pavement. We wondered through and the central cavern opened up honestly you could have fitted half of Worksop in it, so got lots of piccies to show you when I get home. Ha Long Bay is absorloutly amazing, unfortunutly you cant really appreciate it through a camera somethings have to be seen through the nakid eye, I fully recommened Ha Long Bay if any of you ever get the chance, its is truely a wounder. We are leaving Hanoi tonight for a 15 hour train journey down to Hue (pernoused Quay) We are thinking of leaving Vietnam early there is still alot we would like to do in Thailand before we leave for home, but have decided to change our ticket, and instead of flying back into Bangkok, we are going to fly from Vietnam straight up to Chang Mai, Amy wants a saxaphone made of bamboo, and I want a traditional umberella made of paper like material. Then in it is off to Koh Chang for my elephant ride. Anyway that should keep you all going for a while. See you in 7 weeks LOVE CRAIG XX
