Craig and Efren's travels
We arrived a couple hours early for our flight from SFO. Spent some time in the United lounge before boarding our flight to Seoul. The flight was about an hour delayed but got us to Seoul with plenty of time to make our connecting flight to Phuket. We wandered around the massive Incheon airport and got our tickets for our Asiana airlines flight to Phuket. We had some snacks in the beautiful Asiana lounge. A little bit before our flight was to board we headed to the gate It was about that time we noticed something very strange.
The flight to Phuket was 90% Korean couples, and at least half of them were wearing identical clothing outfits. Is this a Korean thing or a Korean-couples-heading-to-Phuket thing we are not sure. We later learned this is tradition for Korean honeymooning couples, and clearly many were taking their honeymoon in Phuket.
After the 12 hour flight to Seoul the 7 hour flight to Phuket seemed like a breeze. The Asiana flight attendants are so polite and dressed so snazzy! We were served a delicious meal and arrived on time in Phuket a 1am.
Getting through immigration was a breeze and our bags came out right away. We hit the ATM and stepped outside into the tropical air mass to find a member of the staff from the Tanamas House waiting for us. He drove us a short distance to our hotel for the night. We basically just took showers and slept for a few hours as we had to get up early the next morning for our 7am ferry to Ao Nang.
