You probably would not expect a giant yellow bear welcoming you into an airport, well... maybe you would, but definitely not one that is balancing a light on top of its head! This is not only the first monument I saw of Doha's airport, but it was also the needle of the compass. Note: whenever you are looking for something in the Doha airport (restrooms, elevators, gate, hotels, etc), they will give you directions in reference to the large yellow bear. At least it is easier than finding and following the northern star?

Even though I was lost numerous times in this airport, it is still the most gorgeous one I know. Everything is made with glass and marble, so you are surrounded by the city lights at dark and the beautiful buildings and landscape during the day. But in my defense, I lost my way a few times because I would walk down one corridor and be intercepted many times by Y-paths, but you never find the same path twice! The way I made it around the airport was this: I knew where Burger King and the giant yellow bear were. You could not take a corridor in a circle either because you would find yourself in the middle of a shop.

I will be here until 3AM, so wish me the best of wishes. I did score a shower, spa, and deep tissue massage for a better price than the overbooked hotel rooms, but that may be because the man pittied me for how tired and stressed I am.
