Buenos Dias!

I'm very pleased to say everything has gone even better than I could have hoped for so far. After a bit of a slow start with nearly a 3 hour delay at heathrow (due to the ice) followed by an hours delay on my flight to Costa Rica (due to 2 passengers getting trapped on the mono rail!), I arrived in San Jose a few hours ago and its a lovely and warm 27 degrees. Its possible to see the mountains even from the city centre and everything is very green looking!

I've just been out to a peruvian restaurant round the corner for a very nice meal of sea bass followed by coconut cake in the garden...is just starting to sink in now that I'm really on holiday after all the months of preparation
