Laos is just beautiful! Set amongst mountains winding roads an beautiful lagoons and lakes! True beauty. Vang vieng more famous for the tubing but I loved the blue lagoon and cave exploring with head torches.

We flew from Hanoi to the capital of Laos Vientiane. Compared to the madness of Bangkok and Hanoi this is rather tame for a capital city. It is very clean and rather quiet which enables us to walk round safely and even take a bicycle tour. Hanoi the capital of Vietnam with an estimated population of 3.5 million and from my experience I would estimate home to 7 million motorbikes. Hanoi makes Bangkok seem like a sleepy village, with roads full of moving motorbikes and pavements filled with parked motorbikes it is very chaotic and as a pedestrian slight stressful to get around.
