Today's the day I discovered a rich seam of Heriot-Watt IPE graduates. It started when someone in the lift to BG's office said "Hello Patrick". It was Umberto Borges who is a drilling manager with Petrobas and has an office 7 floors above ours! Later on I discovered Stuart Kennedy, Nigel Robertson and Mark Laurie ( one geo, one PE and one REM) all together in the same team! I now know of 10 alumni and rising. Our flat-to-be (contract arrived today) has a party terrace - so I look forward to a HWU reunion in due time!
I spent a few days (and a memorable evening) getting to know some new colleagues in BG and renewing friendships. This included beers watching the Liverpool v Spurs 0-0 draw! Check out the view of the Cathedral and the Sugar Loaf from the BG office in the Blog picture gallery.

Jon Snagg Well done P for remembering peoples names from years back; I have a mind like a seive and often forget names of colleagues/ work contacts. They hulloo me and I have to desperately try to remember who they are. I'd be no good in the diplomatic Corp (or BG).
