DAY 9 Muktinath (3710m) to Jomsom (2760m) To reach Jomsom we retrace our footsteps, this time facing into the wind. Our buffs protect our heads and make a good nose and mouth dust guard. Sunglasses over the eyes and we become anonymous. A buff has been so handy on this trek, it mops up sweat and can dry quickly, works as a scarf, hat when its cold, a dust guard and a water filter. We walk into the strong wind and arrive after four hours in Jomsom. We confirm our flight for the next morning, take a shower and order fried egg and chips. Over dinner we watch the sun setting behind the mountain Tilicho. I set up our camera on a little tri-pod I found in a Chinese market in Singapore for a few dollars. We take shots of the mountain, changing the shutter speed as the clouds and the sun play games with the light. Time for a well deserved three day relax before we fly to the Everest region. We looked over the map and calculated the length of this walk was about 100km or 70 miles, not bad. Cooper Out Love Dan & Kat
