After a very long day on the minibus we finally arrived at the village... Our local guide took us around to see the families and children along with many a bird.. (thanks again Elliot Wald). We left Luang Prabang and headed for the airport.. we were off to Vientiane , the capital of Laos. Boarding the smallest plane ever it was so strange to be flying with 11 other people we knew. The flight only took an hour and we were soon enough at our hotel in the capital. To be honest we didnt do much here, there were a few options on visits to temples but most of us decided to use this time to chill we chose to catch up with our neverending blogs and pictures ...

We were very happy to get somewhere where we knew we could settle for a few nights. Thongbay guesthouse is amazing...we had a gorgeous bunglow and there were seating areas on the grounds which overlook the Mekong River (not that we hadn't seen enough of that already!).. We spent that evening in Huay Xai at Mr Sing's Guesthouse.. he is such a character and his english was amazing along with his fluent French!!! We ate dinner overlooking the Mekong river whilst Jayne got attacked by a huge flying bug which obviously liked ginger hair way toooo much!! Lisa got 10 points for swatting it with her menu about 10ft away after it escaped Jayne's hair! We had a few beers back at the guesthouse with Renee, Laura and Mo .Mo encouraged creep...

So we arrived in Chiang Mai around 8am the next day and headed straight for breakfast. We had both decided we would like to go to a cookery school to learn how to cook Traditional Thai food!
