It was then off to the canal district for happy hour, buy 1 drink for 6 euros and help yourself endlessly to a yummy selection of antipasto and salads. The streets became filled with locals enjoying a balmy night out with friends and us tourists.

It was amazing to be able to walk on the roof of the cathedral amongst the many spires and take in the sights of the surrounding city of Milan.

After getting over our jet lag, we finally hit the streets of Milan and underground railway which took us to The Duomo Catherdral. It was unbelievably large and covered in intricate stone work.

DAY 1 After an arduous 35 hour flight all was made worthwhile when we flew over the amazing snow capped French Alps and the stunning sight of Mount Blanc.
