I'm putting together my packing list for Peru and wondering if you have any 'must-have' suggestions! We're packing light, with just a hiking pack to fill. I'd love to hear your ideas...

A Leatherman tool, or swiss army knife (check it at the airport). And some duct tape, perhaps a half roll since you're packing light. A carabiner is usually useful too. And don't forget a camera. Happy packing!

some 'mole skin' is nice for any blisters you might get on long hikes. I also like to carry a tiny calculator - good for figuring out exchange rates and any other big math.

I wish I had known earlier! A head lamp is my top packing item no matter where I'm going.
