Another new destination to explore, took us 6hrs getting from Koh Samui across to the west cost of Thailand to Krabi. We were staying in Au Nang Palace just outside of Krabi town and it seemed quite touristy but we were quite happy to blend in. Our first day we sussed the place out and took things quite easy realising that Krabi had quite a lot of adventure things on offer and a good laundry service that was much needed 3weeks into our travels.
We booked ourselves in for some Kayaking for a half days entertainment, it was well worth it and the views and animals were amazing. We were in the sea but then it became very sheltered and our guide took us in through these coves and canyons with limestone stalactites in all the caves. You had to watch out for the monkeys above wanting to pee on you. The pictures will explain it better than words.
Next we decided to check out one of Thailands most picturesque beaches - Railay Beach, it was so nice and quite a lot of people just hanging out there. Laying on the beach looking out at these massive limestone boulders just towering out of the sea. While we were on Railay we did a hike / rock climb to a view point, was lots of fun but boy did we lose some gravy on the way up.
Had a little night on the town to celebrate our good days crack on the beach and ended up playing pool to silly o'clock. John was in fine form on the table with the locals challenging him. John even beat a lady boy, if he didn't win that I was never gonna let him live it down lol.
Enjoyed Krabi but off to Phi Phi next and we're hoping to do another dive there.
Having a great time but it's such a tuff life for us out here J
